The Commission on Anti-Corruption of the International Chamber of Commerce has released new whisteblowing guidelines that implement one of the ICC Rules of Conduct on Combating Extortion and Bribery issued in 2005. These recommended in particular that
anti-corruption policies and codes adopted by enterprises should “offer confidential channels to raise concerns, seek advice or report violations without fear of retaliation.”
The guidelines provide for practical measures to support companies in establishing effective whistleblowing mechanisms.
